Bridge Delay Snarls Crimea Train Service: 10 Tavria Routes Running Late

Passengers on ten Tavria trains are facing significant delays this week after a temporary shutdown on the Kerch Bridge disrupted rail service between Crimea and mainland Russia. The operator, Grand Service Express, confirmed the hold-ups in a statement Thursday morning.
As of 9:00 a.m., five trains heading into Crimea were running behind schedule: the Mineralnye Vody-to-Simferopol service that departed May 15; the Moscow-to-Sevastopol train that left May 14; the Moscow-to-Yevpatoria service from May 14; the Moscow-to-Simferopol train that departed May 15; and the Saint Petersburg-to-Yevpatoria route that left May 14.
Five trains leaving Crimea are also delayed: the Sevastopol-to-Saint Petersburg service from May 15; the Yevpatoria-to-Moscow train from May 15; the Sevastopol-to-Moscow service from May 15; the Simferopol-to-Moscow train; and the Simferopol-to-Perm route, which departed May 16.
The company said passengers whose trains are more than four hours late are being given food and water. Travelers who need assistance in their car should speak to the train manager or conductors. Estimated arrival times are being shared as information becomes available, though delays could shift further.
The Kerch Bridge, a key link to the peninsula, has faced periodic closures due to security concerns. Grand Service Express urged passengers to check for updates and plan accordingly.
