Boston to Honolulu: JetBlue Launches Longest U.S. Flight with Sleeper Suites

JetBlue is set to connect the East Coast to the Pacific with a new marathon route. Starting next year, travelers can fly nonstop from Boston's Logan Airport to Honolulu. The journey, spanning over 5,000 miles and clocking in at just under 12 hours, will officially become the longest domestic flight in the United States.
The airline's focus is on the premium experience for this extended haul. The Airbus A321LR aircraft assigned to the route will feature JetBlue's Mint business class. These are fully enclosed suites with lie-flat seats, direct aisle access, and sliding privacy doors. It's a cabin configuration designed for a flight where crossing multiple time zones is the main event.
For Bostonians, the new service eliminates the typical West Coast layover, shaving hours off the total travel time to Hawaii. Industry analysts note this move is part of JetBlue's continued strategy to compete for high-value travelers on key leisure routes, even as it adjusts other parts of its network. The direct link provides a significant boost for tourism between the regions, offering a seamless, if lengthy, bridge from New England to the islands. Tickets are expected to go on sale later this year for flights beginning in 2027.
