Bali Hotels and Restaurants Group Warns Travelers About Fake Immigration Websites

The Bali Hotels and Restaurants Association has issued a warning to travelers about scam websites that charge more than 100 euros for a free online arrival form. The group told RIA Novosti that fraudsters are creating clone sites that mimic Indonesia’s official immigration portal, tricking tourists into paying for what should be a no-cost service.
The form in question is the All Indonesia Arrival Card, which visitors must complete before their trip. It is available for free on the official Indonesian immigration website. The scammers, according to the association, present their paid “assistance” as a mandatory government procedure, often charging fees upward of 100 euros.
“Tourists need to carefully check websites and use only official platforms from Indonesian authorities,” the association said. “Clone sites charging for fast-track processing can cost up to 100 euros.”
The association reminded travelers that the form can only be filled out within 72 hours of arrival, after which a QR code is issued. It also noted that the visa-on-arrival or e-visa for most foreign nationals is a separate, paid process and should not be confused with the free arrival card.
As Bali continues to draw millions of visitors, the association urges vigilance: always verify you are on the official immigration site before entering personal or payment information.
