Anapa Sees Unprecedented Tourism Boom with 80-100% Increase in Bookings

The Russian seaside resort of Anapa is experiencing a record-breaking tourism boom, with some companies reporting an 80-100% increase in bookings. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, domestic tourists are flocking to the city's resorts due to its wide sandy beaches, dry Mediterranean climate, convenient location, and affordable prices. Anapa offers a range of activities beyond beach and recreational vacations, including sports, eco-tourism, wine tourism, event tourism, and cycling. Visitors can explore local wineries, engage in diving, kiting, and windsurfing, or take a tour of the open-air archaeological museum-reserve 'Gorgippia'. The city's unique nature reserve 'Utrish' is also a popular destination. Although Anapa's airport is currently closed, visitors can fly into Gelendzhik and take a two-hour drive to the city. The bathing season in Anapa officially started on June 1 and will last until September 30, with 58 beaches already receiving permission to open and 10 more undergoing inspection. The city boasts 60 four- and five-star hotels, as well as 70 'all-inclusive' facilities, with 22 high-class hotels currently under construction. The recent opening of the five-star Miracleon Dusit Thani Resort & Spa Anapa has brought a new level of luxury to the city, with rooms starting at 40,000 rubles per night. The hotel features a spa center, three restaurants, and a unique 'luxury ultra all-inclusive' format. With predictions of up to four million visitors in 2026, Anapa is poised to become a top destination for Russian tourists.
