Aeroflot Schedules Final Flights from UAE Amid Regional Airspace Closures

Russian carrier Aeroflot has scheduled three special flights from the United Arab Emirates to Moscow for Tuesday, March 9th, 2026. The operations are intended to bring home passengers who were stranded after the airline suspended regular service due to sudden airspace closures across the Middle East.
The flights represent a final window for ticket holders. Two Boeing 777 services will depart from Dubai International Airport (DXB) for Moscow's Sheremetyevo, with departures scheduled for 1:10 PM and 3:40 PM local time. A third flight will depart from Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) at 4:10 PM local time.
The regional airspace restrictions were implemented by several Gulf states over the weekend. This action followed a significant escalation of military strikes between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which has created widespread disruption to civilian aviation corridors.
Aeroflot stated that its passenger repatriation efforts from the UAE will conclude by March 11th. The airline is contacting affected travelers directly using details from their original bookings. Passengers are advised to monitor their provided contact channels for specific instructions and confirmations.
