Adygea Hosts 600 Travel Enthusiasts from Across Russia at ‘Mayevka’ Rally

Adygea welcomed roughly 600 participants from all over Russia for the ‘Mayevka’ national tourism rally, according to the region’s head, Murat Kumpilov. The attendees were winners of the ‘Open the Country’ competition, event organizers, youth program leaders, tourism center directors, and staff from regional branches of the ‘Movement of the First’ organization. Kumpilov explained the choice of location was deliberate. “We have stunning nature and scenic hiking trails. The region is building the right conditions to support youth policy. We back young people’s ideas, identify talents, help them grow, and promote promising initiatives,” he wrote on his channel in the messaging app Max. These efforts are backed by the ‘United Russia’ party, federal support programs like the ‘Youth and Children’ and ‘Personnel’ national projects, grant competitions, and regional initiatives—plus the active involvement of participants themselves, Kumpilov added. The rally’s program includes educational and team-building tracks, hands-on activities, internships within the event’s services, guided tours of Adygea’s landmarks, sports sessions, and a route with search-and-rescue elements. By the end, attendees gain skills in organizing events, expand their professional and personal networks, and get to know the region. “For several years now, we’ve held an interregional youth rally at the foot of Mount Fisht, at the Fisht tourist shelter in the Caucasus State Biosphere Reserve named after H.G. Shaposhnikov. It’s gratifying to see these events grow—young people come from all over Russia and nearby countries,” said the head of Adygea. To make life easier for residents, boost tourism, and host such gatherings, the republic is developing mountain infrastructure under the ‘Tourism and Hospitality’ national project. “People travel to Adygea from all over the country—road trips are popular here thanks to high-quality, high-capacity roads and smooth traffic,” Kumpilov concluded.
