A 25-year-old Russian woman, identified only as Tatyana, has disappeared without a trace in Thailand, leaving her family frantic and searching for answers. According to reports from the Russian outlet Mash, the Moscow native arrived in Thailand last November and eventually took an unpaid nanny job at a local daycare. When her visa expired, she scraped together enough for the cheapest flight home, booked for June 7. But on June 1, she sent her parents a troubling message asking for money to buy food and water. That was the last they heard from her. When her mother begged authorities to check her apartment, they found her personal belongings still inside—but no sign of Tatyana. Friends say she had recently lost significant weight, suffered fainting spells, and had been looking to move out of her rental for a job that offered housing. Her parents fear she may have been lured into a scam center in Myanmar or Cambodia. A friend noted Tatyana had recently met a young man on the island of Phuket before her sudden disappearance. Police are now investigating, but the trail has gone cold.
